Scope of Services

We require the services of a Senior Project Planner / Planning Engineer (Outside of IR35) to provide flexible independent contract services to support the multi-discipline delivery of a diverse range of onshore and offshore energy development projects (typically at conceptual / pre-FEED / FEED project stages). The scope of services requires broad Project Planning, Scheduling, Progress Monitoring and Reporting services across a range of projects, ranging from upstream oil and gas to emerging energy transition developments (for both Genesis study planning and client project execution planning), and shall include:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Establish Work Breakdown Structures and develop Project Schedules in Primavera P6 / MS Project. This includes scope performed by Genesis and contributions to clients' overall project plans, supporting detailed cost estimates for Offshore, Onshore, and subsea projects.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track Project progress against the baseline schedule and prepare / present progress reports, incl. Gantt charts, S-curves, and Earned Value Analysis.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with project stakeholders (project managers, engineers, contractors, clients, and others) to ensure alignment on project timelines, and provide updates on schedule performance / address scheduling concerns.

Requirements

The service provider is required to be / have:

  • Formal qualification and / or certification in; Project Management, Engineering or Planning.
  • Extensive experience in project planning, scheduling, or related role for major energy development projects (additional conceptual phase experience is beneficial).
  • Highly proficient in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Critical Path, Earned Value Management).
  • Experienced in resource allocation and cost control techniques.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Manage effective interfaces / relationships between project stakeholders, and peers in other projects / clients.
  • Excellent communication, client interfacing, and interpersonal skills, to work with diverse teams, with full command of English language (written and spoken).
