About the role:

Position Overview:
Technip Energies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Construction Manager to support the successful delivery of the Net Zero Teesside Power project. The ideal candidate will oversee civil, structural, and building construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a pioneering project in the energy transition sector, supporting Technip Energies commitment to sustainable and innovative energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the Construction Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising civil, structural, and building construction activities on-site.
– Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
– Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions.
– Manage and coordinate subcontractors and construction teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
– Review and approve construction methods, procedures, and work plans.
– Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure work is performed according to design and safety standards.
– Support procurement and logistics activities related to civil and structural materials and equipment.
– Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
– Maintain accurate documentation of construction activities, progress reports, and safety records.
– Promote continuous improvement initiatives and innovative construction practices.

Qualifications & Experience:
– Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
– Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in civil, structural, and building construction within large-scale industrial or energy projects.
– Prior experience working on LNG, power, or similar energy infrastructure projects is preferred.
– Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and quality assurance processes.
– Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
– Familiarity with project management tools and construction software.
