Technikraft is looking for a highly organised and innovative Production Planner to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining production schedules for Blending, Labelling, and Filling processes. The ideal candidate will have a problem-solving mindset, experience in cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of improving planning tools and processes.
This role is suited to someone who is tech-savvy, comfortable working with MRP/ERP systems, and keen to develop and enhance planning systems beyond existing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production schedules to align with customer demand, resource availability, and operational capacity.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure materials are available for planned production.
- Monitor and optimise workflows across Blending, Labelling, and Filling processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and sales, to streamline processes and improve communication.
- Track key production metrics and report on performance to senior management.
- Continuously evaluate, develop, and enhance planning tools and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Production planning experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in industries with multi-step production processes such as FMCG, food, or chemical filling.
- Project management experience, with the ability to drive improvements and manage change.
- Experience in organisational change, implementing new processes, and being part of business transformation initiatives.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Innovative mindset, with a drive to improve processes and introduce efficiencies.
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Tech-savvy, with an aptitude for learning and developing new systems and tools.
- Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
