Role Purpose
To coordinate all despatch and logistics activities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely delivery and collection of goods, while maintaining strong communication with customers, hauliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Despatch Planning & Coordination
    This is a hands-on operational role requiring both administrative and on-floor support.
    Plan and support all outgoing domestic & overseas deliveries in line with customer delivery slots and requirements.
    Schedule and manage collections with hauliers and customers based on agreed collection timelines.
    Liaise with filling supervisors to ensure products are ready for dispatch.
    Manage & monitor daily promise lists and ensure all committed orders are fulfilled.
    Organise ad-hoc collections and deliveries as requested.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    Produce delivery notes, pick sheets, and customer-specific documentation.
    Create Dangerous Goods Notes (DGNs) where required.
    Input hazardous goods data into haulier portals ensuring full compliance.
    Reduction in Delivery Errors (%) Trend of reduced errors over time.
    Use MSDS documentation to verify transport requirements.
    Raise and manage NCRs through to completion.
    Print and prepare pallet labels, manifests, and returns documentation.
  • System & Portal Management
    Use various customer and haulier pre-booking portals to schedule deliveries.
    Upload and manage hazardous transport data in line with regulations.
    Monitor Pallet Force portal for delivery confirmation, damages, and supporting evidence.
    Maintain accurate records within internal systems.
  • Customer & Haulier Communication
    Provide regular updates to customers on delivery schedules.
    Respond to customer queries, including sending PODs upon request.
    Liaise with hauliers to resolve delivery issues or delays.
    Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are available and tracked.
  • Courier & Parcel Management
    Coordinate parcel despatch via APC.
    Ensure all shipments are correctly processed and tracked.
  • Key Deliverables / Performance Measures
    On-time delivery performance (OTIF).
    Cost Management of the Dispatch process (72/48 Deliveries Vs Next/Same Day).
    Accuracy of despatch documentation (Customer Complaints/Corrections).
    Compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
    Customer satisfaction and response times.
    Reduction in delivery issues and NCRs.
