Overview
TechnikGS (part of RSK Group) is a leading specialist geotechnical contractor, delivering innovative ground engineering solutions across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced and appropriately qualified Estimator to join our team at our head office in Runcorn, Cheshire. This is a permanent, full-time position. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of our Pre-Construction and Operations team, contributing to the preparation of competitive tenders and supporting the continued growth of our business.
If you have a degree in engineering, construction, geology or similar and/or previous estimating experience, ideally in the piling sector, with the ambition to make a difference, we would like to talk to you.
TechnikGS is a specialist mini and micropiling contractor, focusing on projects with restricted access and challenging ground conditions. We install driven, drilled, and rotary bored piles using mini piling rigs, delivering solutions across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK.
Responsibilities
- Manage enquiries received.
- Liaise with Clients and Engineers at the preconstruction stage.
- Interpret engineer drawings, specifications and ground investigation information to prepare detailed and precise cost estimates.
- Work closely with the operational team to develop optimal solutions and undertake project handovers on award.
- Client engagement and follow-up calls for quotations submitted.
- Sourcing and procurement of materials.
- Project financial management – assessment of project costs.
- Full-time office-based role with site visits.
Experience and skills required
- Estimating experience in piling or ground engineering.
- Degree in engineering, construction, geology or similar (desirable).
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communicator.
- Analytical thinking.
- Professional approach.
- Driving licence.
