A successful and growing photonics semiconductor company based in Sheffield is seeking a Director of Operations to join and both lead and scale their end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain operations. You'll be driving the transition of their cutting-edge technology to high-volume production and play a pivotal role in the next stage of the company.

What you'll do as the Director of Operations:

  • Lead global supply chain, foundry, and OSAT partner relationships
  • Oversee wafer starts, assembly, test, and delivery schedules
  • Drive capacity planning, forecasting, and production scaling
  • Own S&OP processes and align supply with demand
  • Lead operational readiness for new product introductions (NPI)
  • Build and scale high-performing operations, logistics, and supply chain teams
  • Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in yield, cost, and delivery performance
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and ensure compliance
