Technify Talent is partnering with a leading security technology company based in Reading, Berkshire to hire a Contract Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a six‑month initial contract. This is a hands‑on design role with a strong focus on producing high‑quality electrical drawings and design documentation for complex, mission‑critical systems that safeguard lives and reduce civilian threats.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing electrical schematics, drawings and design documentation using SolidWorks
- Creating and maintaining electrical drawings throughout the engineering lifecycle
- Supporting electrical system analysis, testing and verification activities
- Working closely with mechanical, software and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions
- Supporting electrical design activities within a highly regulated engineering environment
- Contributing to projects from concept through to testing, commissioning and delivery
We're looking for engineers with experience in:
- Electrical design and detailed electrical drawings
- SolidWorks (or similar CAD packages)
- Electrical system analysis
- BS7671
- Safety‑critical or highly regulated industries such as Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace, Marine, Rail or Industrial Automation
