A global high-tech engineering company in the semiconductor sector is seeking a Software Engineer to support the modernisation and evolution of the software that powers their platforms used worldwide. If you enjoy working with complex, established codebases, transforming legacy systems, and building high-quality real-time applications, this role offers challenge, ownership and impact.
What you’ll do as a Software Engineer:
- Design, develop, test and deliver features for a native desktop application
- Drive large-scale modernisation and refactoring of a mature real-time codebase
- Debug complex issues and uphold high software quality standards
- Support customers with the implementation and troubleshooting of your applications
- Collaborate closely with senior developers, architects and international engineering teams
What we’re looking for in a Software Engineer:
- Strong experience with C# and C/C++
- Experience with updating and improving legacy code
- Skilled in real-time and multithreaded programming
- Strong debugging and fault-finding capability
- Clear communication skills
- Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and using version control (Git/Bitbucket)
