Salary: £39,000 to £43,000 per annum, plus benefits, further training and career opportunities
Hours: 12 hour shifts, rotation of days & nights OR a permanent night shift is also an option for those who may prefer this.
Location: Commutable from Southampton, Havant, Portsmouth, Eastleigh, Winchester, Fareham and surrounding areas
Company: We are actively recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work within a large international company at one of their premium, new and modern factories in Hampshire. You will benefit from an established, friendly and loyal team of Maintenance Engineers who provide planned maintenance & respond to breakdowns within their fast-paced production environment. The opportunity offers you the chance to receive training to cover both disciplines, so those who are either fully mechanical or fully electrical are very much encouraged to apply. As long as you're willing to learn and take on the training required.
The Role: Working under the direction of the senior engineer, this Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will provide their efforts to complete allocated mechanical & electrical maintenance tasks and projects, ensuring quality and completion of the tasks are delivered within the agreed timescales. Responsibilities include undertaking planned maintenance, reacting to breakdowns, delivering equipment upgrades, new installations and infrastructure changes, together with building maintenance as & when required. This is a multi-skilled environment, however either bias is acceptable with help and support provided for the Maintenance Engineer to improve the lesser discipline.
Requirements:
- A background in Maintenance engineering or Service Engineering in any environment, such as industrial, facilities, FMCG, building services or similar type production/manufacturing environments.
- Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold engineering qualifications ie. NVQ or C&G Level 3 in mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled.
- Enjoy good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, boilers, pumps, inverters, sensors, relays, contactors, 3 phase motors, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics or similar.
- Are multi-skilled across electrical & mechanical either bias is equally welcome alternatively you have a passion to build on your current speciality (Mechanical or Electrical) and become multi-skilled!
- Have good fault-finding skills.
- Are friendly and adaptable, with the ability to work well as part of a small team.
- Are proactive and enjoy getting your hands dirty.
