Hours: 4 on 4 off - 6am to 6pm
Salary: £44,000 to £46,000 per annum, overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0
Location: Commutable from Barton upon Humber, Hull, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Beverley and surrounding areas
Company: A heavy plant manufacturing company who offer challenging and rewarding careers for Mechanical Maintenance Engineers are looking for an individual who wants to be part of an established, loyal and successful team.
If you’re genuinely after a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role that is both varied and rewarding, with scope to learn, grow and earn some good money, this is a great opportunity! You must be willing to get your hands dirty in a heavy plant environment and not be averse to training and developing your skills.
If you’re qualified in Mechanical Engineering and have experience in any of the following, please apply: welding, bearings, shafts, lathes, mills, motors, pumps, belts, chain drives etc. Ideally in some form of maintenance or fitting role but any would be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.
- Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
- Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.
- Assist in developing the agility maintenance system.
- Ensure machine safety standards are upheld and critical spares are maintained.
It really is a varied role and the machinery will be made up and you will deal with belts, chain drives, bearings, shafts, mixers, conveyors. Anyone with mechanical skills in some of these areas would be highly desirable, along with working in a mechanical maintenance role.
Requirements:
- Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance work within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
- Any experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, workshop skills (lathes and/or mills) would be desirable; training and support can be given on some areas.
- Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in.
- Friendly and adaptable working attitude.
