The Company We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work within a large company at one of their premium factories on the south side of the Thames in Kent. This is a multi-skilled environment with both Electrically or Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineers working effectively together, sharing knowledge & experience to get the work done. Responsibilities
The Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electrical & mechanical maintenance work across the factory and you are encouraged and supported to develop your weaker side. Your main and primary role is supporting all production machinery. This includes diagnosing & troubleshooting breakdowns and machinery problems, together with undertaking planned preventative maintenance and project work too, such as new installations etc.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Multi-Skilled, experienced in undertaking Breakdown troubleshooting & Planned Maintenance as a Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, production or automated environments. Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold engineering qualifications at NVQ / C&G Level 3 in mechanical or electrical. Have good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following: Motors, Belts, Bearings, Chains, Gears, Pumps, Boilers, Sensors, Inverters, Relays, Contactors, 3 Phase machinery, PLCs, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Steam systems etc. Are multi-skilled across electrical & mechanical β either bias is welcome β additional Electronics skills, especially fault finding to component level is very useful. Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a team. Proactive work attitude and always keen to get stuck in. Always ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions.
