Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter
Hours:7:00pm till 3:30am / 3pm till 12:00am, Mon to Fri – Permanent nights – some flex on start/finish times and working days (can do Sunday to Thursday etc)
Salary: £43,000-£45,000, plus Benefits and Career opportunities
Location: Commutable from Spalding, Grantham, Peterborough, Bourne, Sleaford, and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter to work within a small maintenance team for a Food manufacturing company. The role is working permanent nights with some flexibility around start/finish times and the working days.

Responsibilities
This roles primary focus is proactive maintenance, working through planned preventative maintenance of the machinery and equipment throughout the site. With it being a very small small team, the role is extremely varied, rather autonomous and will give you the opportunity to make it your own. Machinery mainly consists of conveyors and packaging machinery.
In and around the above, you will also assist with any reactive work, attending to and resolving breakdowns urgently, general project work, machinery upgrades, installation, ad-hoc facilities, coordinating any specialist contractors when on-site and help support continuous improvements.
Requirements
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter
Holding qualifications or equivalent experience in mechanical or similar
Maintenance or Service Engineer background in any environment, ideally industrial, manufacturing, production or automated etc.
Have maintenance and troubleshooting skills across SOME of the following; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
Planned preventative maintenance experience Good troubleshooting & fault-finding skills.
Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
Proactive, self-starter work attitude and can be flexible and able to give & take on start & finish times when necessary.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions.
