We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (Multi Skilled) to work within a small maintenance team for a FMCG manufacturing company. You will benefit from joining this very friendly and family feel environment, backed by a supported company who are their to ensure you get the best out from them and are given all what you need to be successful. The role doesn\’t involves any nights, only days, from 7am till 4pm Sunday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Engineers within a small team, the role is extremely varied, covering both electrical and mechanical tasks. You will be turning your hands to 6 small production lines consisting mainly of conveyors and packaging machinery.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be combating and resolving breakdowns and machinery problems urgently. Ensuring the lines are back up and running quickly and efficiently. You will also work to a planned preventative maintenance schedule, completing the essential tasks needed to prevent breakdowns happening.

In and around the above, you will also assist with any project work, machinery upgrades, installation, ad-hoc facilities, coordinating any specialist contractors when on-site and help support continuous improvements.

Requirements

Maintenance or Service Engineer background in any environment, ideally industrial, manufacturing, production or automated etc.
Have maintenance and troubleshooting skills across SOME of the following; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, control panels etc.
Good troubleshooting & fault-finding skills.
Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
Proactive, self-starter work attitude and can be flexible and able to give & take on start & finish times when necessary.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions and the Health and Safety manual & relevant engineering standards.
