Salary: £48,000 to £49,000 per annum paid overtime benefits and opportunities to progress up through their salary grades and receive enhancements.

Hours: 2 weeks of Days (6am to 6pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 6am), on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days).

Location: Commutable from Durham, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, working 2 weeks of Days (6am to 6pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 6am), on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days).
  • Your role will include: Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.
  • Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
  • Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.
  • Assist being hands-on in other areas of the factory when needed.

Requirements:

  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered.
  • Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery.
  • Any experience of SOME of the following; Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc.
  • Motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company.
