Hours: Monday to Thursday 14:45 – Midnight (classed as 2nd shift). You would need to work the 1st shift until training has been completed successfully. The 1st Shift hours are 6:30am to 3:15pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 1pm Friday each week.
An established and growing manufacturing company who precision machined parts and solutions to various industries, mainly Aerospace and Defence, are on the lookout for a Turning Setter/Operator using Mazak machinery.

The role will involve:
- Setting and operating Mazak CNC turning and milling machines, producing precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Ensuring machines are correctly prepared, tooling is optimised, and components are produced efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Setting up machines, tooling, and materials for upcoming jobs within required timeframes.
- Reading, understanding, and editing CNC programs where required.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Carrying out in-process and final inspection to ensure parts meet required standards.
- Achieving required output levels while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as required.
Qualifications:
- Qualification in Engineering or a related field (desirable).
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar CNC machining role.
- Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality.
