Location: Burghfield, near Reading (RG30)

Contract Length: 6-12 months (initial)

Rate: £54.29/hour Umbrella (Inside IR35) or £40.41/hour PAYE (incl. night shift uplift)

Per Diem: £100/day for candidates commuting over 30 miles

We are supporting a major infrastructure project at a secure nuclear site in Burghfield with the recruitment of multiple EC&I Commissioning Technicians for night shift work on a long-term contract.

This is a full-time, site-based position working 66 hours across an 11-on / 3-off shift rotation. All work will be carried out on the night shift.

You will play a critical role in the commissioning and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems within a highly regulated environment, following strict safety and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute commissioning tests safely and efficiently in line with project schedules and SSoWs
  • Implement site commissioning arrangements across installation, commissioning, and handover
  • Maintain and report accurate status updates to the Commissioning Manager
  • Complete commissioning records, results, and associated raw data

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong background in electrical commissioning
  • Recognised Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
  • Valid ECS/CSCS card (or willingness to obtain prior to site entry)
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Eligibility for SC (Security Clearance)
  • Previous experience in nuclear, power generation, or similarly regulated industries is preferred

Additional Info:

  • £100 per diem paid per day on-site for those commuting more than 30 miles
  • Start dates available shortly following clearance
