A global engineering business delivering sustainable process solutions is looking to appoint Senior, Lead, and Principal Mechanical Engineers to support the delivery of complex process plant projects.
This role will focus on leading mechanical engineering activities across technically challenging projects, overseeing engineering outputs, reviewing calculations and designs, and acting as a key technical interface with customers. You will also support quality, safety, and project performance while mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading mechanical engineering activities across process plant projects
- Reviewing engineering calculations, designs, and technical documentation
- Delivering complex technical solutions within regulated environments
- Acting as a key customer-facing technical contact
- Supporting quality, safety, and engineering standards across projects
- Mentoring and developing engineers within the team
Candidates should have strong experience within process plant or regulated engineering sectors such as:
- Energy
- Oil & Gas
- Water / Wastewater
- Similar heavy engineering or industrial process environments
Applicants should also have:
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects
- Strong mechanical design and structural analysis knowledge
- Familiarity with relevant engineering standards such as EN and ASME
- Experience using STAAD Pro and FEA tools such as SolidWorks Simulation
This is a permanent, office-based role located in Congleton.
Salary ranges:
- Senior Mechanical Engineer: £50,000–£60,000
- Lead Mechanical Engineer: £55,000–£65,000
- Principal Mechanical Engineer: £65,000–£75,000
