Techniche Global are supporting a leading UK food manufacturer in the search for a Process Technologist to join their high-quality, retailer-focused site in Carlisle. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with one of the UK’s most prestigious food retail brands, contributing directly to the development of premium products enjoyed nationwide.
The Role: As part of a close-knit and high-performing Process & Development team, you’ll take ownership of key elements in the full product development lifecycle—from initial concept through to factory-scale launch.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting product trials on site
- Scaling recipes from kitchen development to production line
- Ensuring food safety compliance and maintaining accurate technical documentation
- Collaborating daily with Operations, Technical, and Planning teams
- Providing guidance and support to junior technologists

About You We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Proven experience in a process development or technical role within food manufacturing
