A hands-on opportunity is available for a Port Operative to support site operations and logistics activities at Able Seaton Port in Teesside. The role involves working as part of the site operations team carrying out port and stevedoring tasks while supporting the safe movement and handling of equipment across the site.
This is a practical, safety-focused position suited to individuals with experience in port operations or heavy industrial environments.
Key responsibilities include:- Carrying out port and stevedoring tasks as part of the site operations team
- Operating plant and equipment including telehandlers, forklifts and MEWPs
- Supporting loading, lifting and general logistics activities
- Acting as Slinger/Signaller when required
- Assisting with safe equipment movements and general site operations
- Previous experience as a Port Operative, Stevedore or Multi-skilled Operative
- Experience working in port or heavy industrial environments
- Plant operating experience (e.g. telehandler, FLT, MEWP)
- Certifications such as Slinger/Signaller, FLT, Telehandler or MEWP (beneficial)
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work within site operational teams
- Contract role running until the end of June
- £220 per day
