We are working with a British food producer at their engineering site in Rochester, Kent, supporting them with the hire of a Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical bias) on a full-time basis. Joining a team of 8 other Engineers and reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support maintenance activities on a range of machinery, including flow wrappers, pick and place robots, and size grading machines for their apples and pears produce.

Starting initially on a Monday – Friday days pattern to integrate with the team, you will then move to a 4 on 4 off rotating shift comprising of 07:00-19:00 and 12:00pm - 12:00am. During peak periods, shifts may change to 09:00-21:00.

Salary available is at a flat £50,000 plus occasional overtime.

Experience required:

  • An electrical apprenticeship served (City & Guilds), HNC, ONC, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition or similar
  • A strong electrical basis with mechanical skills
  • Ability to use fault finding techniques, react quickly to faults and breakdowns, communicating clearly with affected parties and working efficiently to fix the issue.
