We are working with a major UK food production site in Willand to appoint two permanent Mechanical Engineers to join their growing maintenance team.
You’ll be supporting a large, high-output manufacturing operation, working hands-on with a wide range of production machinery and equipment to keep operations running smoothly. This is a shift-based role, ideal for experienced engineers looking for stability, strong earning potential, and a fast-paced technical environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Handling mechanical breakdowns and urgent repairs.
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
- Working as part of a multi-skilled team on a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift (4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off).
- Shadowing experienced engineers during onboarding before progressing to more independent work.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ, BTEC or equivalent) or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication is advantageous.
- A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
