Techniche Global is supporting an engineering defence company in appointing an Marine Electrical Engineering Trainer to provide Engineering Training to the Royal Navy at HMS Sultan in Gosport. The roles are full-time site based at HMS Sultan in Gosport. 37 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30 till 4:30pm with an early finish on a Wednesday afternoon Duties and Responsibilities of the Marine Engineering Electrical Trainer: Deliver training in Electrical and Electronic principles in accordance with the Training Plan and Sultan Training Standing Operating Procedures. Assist in maintaining and updating training documentation. Assess student coursework and provide constructive feedback on performance. Ensure the duty of care for trainees during the delivery of training. Perform equipment maintenance within the scope of relevant qualifications and experience. Ensure compliance with company security, health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times. Experience Required: Consolidated experience (within the last 5 years) or direct employment in electrical and electronic engineering principles. Previous knowledge of the application of marine electrical and electronic theoretical and practical instruction to Level 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering courses, including an awareness of Electrical Theory, Electrical Safety, Power & Distribution, High Voltage, Electrical Test Equipment, Electrical Maintenance, Damage Control, and Waste Processing. Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian electrical and electronic environment (ideally within the last 5 years) Experience in the development of electrical and electronic engineering-based training courses Required Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Level 4 Teaching Qualification / DCTS Defence Trainer Course or equivalent (successful completion) – Desirable Proficiency in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
