Techniche Global are supporting a leading provider of high-voltage power system protection and control equipment in their search for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer in Ulverston, Cumbria. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in substation control and protection. The role includes leading projects, mentoring a small team, and ensuring high-quality engineering delivery. Salary: £50,000+, dependent on experience + company benefits. Type: permanent, Hybrid arrangements available Key Responsibilities: Technical leadership of customer projects, managing design quality and delivery timelines. Coordinate engineering resources across electrical and mechanical disciplines. Interface with internal teams, clients, and manufacturing on all technical matters. Lead design reviews and ensure all technical documentation (e.g. circuit diagrams, cable schedules, logic diagrams) is completed to standard. Conduct site surveys as required and support factory testing and inspections. Provide technical support to tendering and manufacturing teams. Required Skills & Experience: HNC or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Strong experience in technical project management and electrical design.
