A leading engineering consultancy is looking to appoint Electrical Engineers and Associate Electrical Engineers to support major UK infrastructure and water sector projects within their Design & Advanced Technology team.

These roles focus on Electrical & ICA design delivery across complex multidisciplinary industrial and process engineering projects. The work will involve producing, leading, and reviewing a range of technical electrical deliverables, including:

  • Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
  • MCC specifications
  • Load schedules
  • Control philosophies
  • Control network architecture
  • Wider electrical and ICA design documentation

Candidates should have strong experience within Electrical & ICA design across industrial or process engineering environments.

Experience in the following areas would be highly beneficial:

  • WIMES standards
  • DSEAR / ATEX installations
  • Earthing and bonding design
  • HAZOP participation
  • Electrical design software such as Trimble or Amtech

Previous water industry experience would be advantageous, although candidates from other process sectors will also be considered.

These are 6-month contract opportunities operating on a hybrid basis, typically involving 3 days per week in the office or on-site.

Priority office locations include:

  • Peterborough
  • Cambridge

Package details: £75 per hour, Inside IR35, Hybrid working arrangement.
