A leading industrial automation business is looking to appoint an Automation Sales Engineer to drive growth across Scotland, the Northwest, and the Northeast of England.
This is a new business focused sales role, responsible for developing opportunities across automation platforms, industrial software, and integrated solutions. The successful candidate will open new accounts, develop strategic customers, win specifications, and contribute to the development of Energy and Microgrid solutions within the UK market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing new business across the North UK territory
- Selling automation platforms, software, and integrated solutions
- Identifying and opening new strategic accounts
- Creating demand and developing opportunities from initial engagement through to close
- Winning specifications and developing long term customer relationships
- Supporting go to market strategy for Energy and Microgrid solutions
- Working closely with technical and applications engineering teams
Candidates should have:
- Industrial automation solution sales experience
- A strong track record of new business development
- Experience selling technical solutions within industrial markets
- Confidence developing new accounts rather than purely managing an existing customer base
- Experience introducing new products or technologies to market
Exposure to industrial software, SCADA, IIoT, controls, energy systems, or building automation would be highly beneficial.
This is a permanent, home and field based role covering Scotland, the Northwest, and the Northeast, with regular travel across the territory.
Package includes:
- £55,000-£70,000 base salary
- 20%-30% OTE bonus
