Techniche Global are supporting with the appointment of a Materials Testing Technician to carry out testing and sampling activities across multiple sites. This is a field-based technical role supporting quality and compliance activities within the concrete and aggregates sector. The position will involve carrying out testing, sampling and reporting activities across manufacturing sites and customer locations.
Salary: £31,500 per annum
Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Scotland
Hours: 7am – 5pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Benefits: Company van, pension, overtime opportunities
The Role
You will be responsible for conducting material sampling and testing activities on concrete and aggregates, supporting quality control processes and ensuring products meet industry standards and specifications. The role will involve both laboratory and site-based work across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sampling and testing of concrete and aggregates
- Carry out laboratory and on-site material testing activities
- Complete reporting, data entry and compliance documentation
- Support quality control and product conformance processes
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of testing equipment
- Travel across the Central Belt and occasionally further afield
- Ensure testing activities comply with relevant standards and procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience within material testing, laboratory testing, quality control or compliance roles
- Strong technical aptitude and hands-on practical skills
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to travel requirements
