Techniche Global is supporting an international Oil & Gas engineering company in the appointment of Assemblers at their manufacturing facility in Stonehouse. This is a 12-month contract position with working hours from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Identify components and use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques, operate assembly equipment and tools.
  • Accurately assemble oilfield completion products and tool assemblies.
  • Test assembled products and tool assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with products and assemblies.
  • Create labour records for all transactions in the relevant business system.
  • Document records of work performed in the relevant business system.
  • Perform daily 5S activities and participate in lean manufacturing projects.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines using written instructions and checklist.
  • Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Successfully complete required safety trainings including crane, forklift, drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Basic (intermediate level preferred) level of soldering skills including awareness of solder and flux theory, and practical experience of soldering related activities such as tinning, splicing, Jenkin spring, turret soldering, crimping, etc.
  • Select correct tools, solder types and fixtures.
  • Minimum high school or equivalent Vocational or trade school preferred.
  • All candidates must be able to prove that they have the right to work in the UK.
