Overview

We seek to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Support Technician with a keen interest in life sciences.

You will provide high quality core technical support to staff and students within the School of Medicine and Population Health.

You will be responsible for supporting laboratory-based activities with a specific focus on Histology support, contributing to the School's research and teaching objectives and priorities in this area of research.

You will provide general laboratory housekeeping, experimental research and teaching support duties, ensuring good Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times.

You will be part of a large and dedicated team of core technical staff spread across two Divisions (Clinical Medicine and Neuroscience), working under the guidance of senior technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality core technical support to staff and students within the School of Medicine and Population Health.
  • Support laboratory-based activities with a specific focus on Histology.
  • Contribute to the School's research and teaching objectives in histology-related areas.
  • Provide general laboratory housekeeping, experimental research and teaching support.
  • Ensure good Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Collaborate as part of a large team of core technical staff across two Divisions (Clinical Medicine and Neuroscience) under the guidance of senior technical colleagues.
