Location: Hammersmith hospital campus. The post is an onsite role with some possibility for home working when the Head of Institute is away.
About the role: An opportunity has arisen for a 1-year post as the personal assistant to the Head of the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI). The NHLI is one of the departments within the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial and the Head of Institute (HoI) is responsible for its strategic direction, ensuring the delivery of its mission to improve cardiac and respiratory health through research, education and innovation. The personal assistant role is a critical position providing wide-ranging support to the HoI in the delivery of this mission.
What you would be doing: You will provide personal support to the Head of Institute (HoI) including support in diary management, travel arrangements, organising meetings, maintaining records and other administrative tasks. You will be the first point of contact for the HoI, write professional correspondence on behalf of the HoI and provide the HoI with agendas, briefings and reports in advance of meetings.
What we are looking for: We are looking for a highly organised individual with previous experience of working as a PA at a senior level. You will need to be self-sufficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, able to manage a complex diary and write articulate and professional correspondence. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a positive and proactive attitude.

Further Information: This role is for a fixed-term contract for 12 months and could be a secondment for staff already employed at Imperial.
