Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cyclocarbon Chemistry in Oxford

Overview

Location: 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA. Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cyclocarbon Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Harry L. Anderson for a period of up to 24 months. The project involves organic synthesis and is funded by the European Research Council. Find out more about the research group at: http://hla.chem.ox.ac.uk/ . The post is based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory, University of Oxford, and is available from 1 January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own academic research and administrative activities, including small-scale project management and coordinating multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry (or be close to completion and have submitted a thesis before taking up the appointment).
• Experience in multi-step organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry and physical organic chemistry or spectroscopy.
