The Equality and Diversity Unit (EDU), part of the People Department, provides expert advice and practical support on equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) matters across the University.
About the Role
Working within the Equality and Diversity Unit, you will lead the University\'s programme of work to prevent and respond to bullying and harassment, helping to create collaborative and inclusive environments where staff and students can thrive.
You will develop evidence-informed policy, guidance, training and interventions that strengthen organisational culture, build confidence in reporting, and support departments to prevent and respond effectively to bullying and harassment. Working closely with the Chief Diversity Officer, People Leadership Team, academic divisions, professional services and external partners, you will influence practice across the collegiate University and contribute to the University\'s wider agenda to embed inclusion, belonging and respect.
About You
We\'re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience leading EDI initiatives that have delivered measurable organisational or cultural change within a large, complex organisation.
- Excellent knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and its practical application to organisational policy and practice.
- Experience of developing evidence-informed approaches to preventing and responding to bullying and harassment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders and building effective collaborative relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues to a range of audiences.
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to inform policy, priorities and organisational improvement.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a complex environment.
- An understanding of the challenges and opportunities of delivering cultural change within a large institution.

This role meets the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa. The University will meet the cost of the Skilled Worker visa and NHS surcharge for applicants that require a visa.
