Norwich Research Park Biosciences Doctoral Training Programme (NRPDTP) invites applications for a fully funded 4-year PhD project starting 1 October 2026. The project investigates how the presence of a bacterial symbiont influences tortoise beetle larval behaviour, with fieldwork in Panama and collaboration with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.

The student will gain skills in behavioural tracking, microbial manipulation, GC-MS chemical analysis, molecular biology, and statistical analysis.
