You''ll be part of a dynamic and ambitious team of students and staff, contributing to a culture of learning, teaching, and critical making at the forefront of the discipline. We are looking for a Lecturer to teach students on our nationally recognised undergraduate BA Fashion Promotion and Communication programme with the emphasis on PR and communication activities such as imaginative promotional campaigns, events and brand narratives. You should be an innovative and enthusiastic individual with a passion for fashion promotion and communication activities that supports the student journey through contemporary PR and communication activities with a commitment to excellence in learning and teaching. You will hold an undergraduate degree in Fashion Communication, Fashion Marketing or a related subject; a Higher Degree or Research Degree is desirable.
You will also bring expertise in creative and technical skills that support the development of creative outputs that develop brand narratives and professional campaigns, that embrace storytelling and audience as key drivers.
This requires having a thorough understanding/experience of creating business and communication models appropriate for today’s global fashion industry. The successful candidate will be highly organised and proactive, with excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively both within a team environment and with external stakeholders. They will deliver engaging teaching through workshops, tutorials, study tours, reviews and assessments and guide students in producing professionally rooted outcomes.
We are seeking someone keen to establish a profile in research, knowledge exchange, or higher education pedagogy. You should have experience of working in industry and in delivering high-quality teaching, assessment, feedback, and academic support to a diverse student body in higher education.
This is a permanent, full time 1.0 FTE (37 hours per week) position, with an expected starting salary of £45,025.
