University of Sheffield invites applications for a fully funded PhD studentship in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, in collaboration with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).

The project focuses on resilience of federated learning in heterogeneous, human-in-the-loop autonomous systems, combining information theory, ML and control. Eligible candidates should have a strong mathematical background and programming skills, with a clear path to a relevant PhD topic.
