Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a part-time Lecturer (Teaching and Education) to act as an Access and Attainment Lead.

As Foundation Year Lecturer and Access and Attainment Lead, you will work closely with Dr Laura Green (Foundation Year Lead) in a strategic role supporting outreach, recruitment, orientation and student retention activities for Birkbeck.

This is a cross-college role focused on increasing access to education for priority groups of students, supporting their learning through interventions and improving student outcomes for all students.

You will also contribute to curriculum design and development and the delivery of teaching and engagement activities at foundation level.

Contract

Part-time, fixed term, 4 year contract - 17.5 hours a week. Teaching on Mondays/Tuesdays in term time, with remaining work pattern to be discussed.

Salary and benefits

Actual £22,123 rising to £30,429 per annum, 0.5 FTE (Pro-rated £44,247 rising to £60,858, 1.0 FTE). Grade LLEC, quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
