Overview

The Faculty of History invites applications for a MPhil Course Administrator role (maternity cover).

This post is fixed‑term for 12 months or until the post holder returns, whichever comes first.

The position is part of the Postgraduate Team office and focuses on teaching and examination administration for MPhil courses.

You will support students from application through to final examination.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate teaching and examination administration elements for MPhil courses.
  • Support students throughout the application and examination process.
  • Provide advice on University and departmental policies to colleagues.
  • Work independently, prioritise workload, manage tight deadlines and seek guidance when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational ability with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in higher education administration desirable; a proven ability to learn new skills is essential.
  • Prior administrative experience in a similar setting is highly regarded.
