Overview
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences is a large and progressive academic research department. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Coordinator to join our department finance team. This key role supports the effective management of our financial operations, ensuring compliance with University financial regulations, and delivering high‑quality financial information and advice to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day financial administration within the department.
- Act as the central point of contact for all financial matters.
- Work closely with central finance teams, budget holders, and senior staff to ensure accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and efficient financial processes.
- Provide high‑quality financial information and advice to stakeholders.
- Support the Finance Manager in maintaining compliance with University financial procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial administration.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Confidence and enthusiasm for working in a fast‑paced finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of finance systems and processes – experience with Oracle and Cambridge University Finance Systems is desirable.
