About the Role
The Business & Library Systems team is seeking a talented Business & Library Systems Analyst/Developer to provide second-line support, maintenance and enhancement services for the University’s business and library applications.
As a key member of the Business & Library Systems team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the overall design of mission-critical enterprise applications and ensuring they are delivered effectively, reliably and efficiently.
Due to the University having recently introduced Planon in the Estates’ area, the role’s primary focus will be supporting the introduction and subsequent development of this solution.
About You
You will need to have experience in the support and maintenance of library and business applications, with knowledge of estate systems being essential.
Furthermore, you should have experience in successful identification, diagnosis, management and resolution of application problems.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate experience in technical support.

- Ability to work collaboratively with customers, vendors and departmental colleagues.
- Good problem-solving skills and, most importantly, a desire and willingness to learn.
- Ability to create clear system, support and process documentation.
- Creating and maintaining interfaces between different corporate systems.
- Ability to provide training and create relevant documentation.
- Be a self-motivated team member who is able to challenge and influence others in the provision of innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- High-level, proven interpersonal and communication skills and can recognise and pass on knowledge to others.
