Lecturer in Built Environment (Quantity & Building Surveying) (HE) in Birmingham

Overview

University College Birmingham is seeking a Lecturer in the Built Environment with expertise in Quantity and Building Surveying. The role suits an academic or industry expert who is passionate about shaping the future workforce in advanced and technology-driven construction sectors. Areas of interest may include Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Building Inspection and Defects, Refurbishment and Maintenance, Measurement and Estimating, CAD and digital modelling, and AI applications in construction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, innovative, and inclusive teaching to support student success.
• Contribute significantly to curriculum design in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying and related areas.
• Bring strong research-informed practice and/or industry expertise into teaching.
• Support students in achieving their academic, technical, and professional ambitions.
• Engage actively in departmental development and continuous improvement.

• Salary: £38,784 to £43,482 per annum. Grade: AC2.
