Established in 1977, Technical Transport Products is a family run business that has progressed to become a leader within the Northern Ireland field of transport temperature control as Thermo King official dealer. Role Overview:

  • The accounts assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records.
  • The role will involve assisting with general accounts duties, such as data entry, reconciliation of accounts and other administrative tasks to support the finance team.

Cash Allocation:

  • Allocate payments received to the corresponding invoices on customer accounts.

Credit Control:

  • Sending monthly statements via email and post to customers, monitoring aged debtors, chasing overdue invoices, and communicating with customers regarding outstanding debt.

Reconciliation:

  • Reconciling bank entries and ensuring the sales ledger balances with customer accounts at month-end.

Data Entry:

  • Inputting financial information into accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to quickly learn tailored accounting software.
  • Strong excel skills including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
  • High level of accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications are desirable, but training will be provided.

Employment Details:

  • Hours: Full-time role, with office hours Monday Thursday 8.30am to 5:00PM, Friday 8.30AM to 4.00PM.
  • Salaries: DOE, above NLW.
  • Benefits: Company pension, Free on-Site parking and Uniform provided.
