Role Overview:
- The accounts assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records.
- The role will involve assisting with general accounts duties, such as data entry, reconciliation of accounts and other administrative tasks to support the finance team.
Cash Allocation:
- Allocate payments received to the corresponding invoices on customer accounts.
Credit Control:
- Sending monthly statements via email and post to customers, monitoring aged debtors, chasing overdue invoices, and communicating with customers regarding outstanding debt.
Reconciliation:
- Reconciling bank entries and ensuring the sales ledger balances with customer accounts at month-end.
Data Entry:
- Inputting financial information into accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to quickly learn tailored accounting software.
- Strong excel skills including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.
- Relevant accounting qualifications are desirable, but training will be provided.
Employment Details:
- Hours: Full-time role, with office hours Monday Thursday 8.30am to 5:00PM, Friday 8.30AM to 4.00PM.
- Salaries: DOE, above NLW.
