Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.
KBR support the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world\’s largest and most complex projects.
As a Technical Advisor – Offshore structural, you will support the lead engineer related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned:
o Design basis, material and construction specifications
o Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (inservice) phase (inplace, fatigue), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, lifting) and accidental phase (blast, fire, dropped object) for brownfield projects.
o Perform detailed design of equipment supports, access platforms etc.
o Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies
The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, client and 3rd party contractors and coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Structural Engineering Design
• Minimum experience of 12 years having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
• Proficient user of SACS suite of software a prerequiste.
• Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902 and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
• Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
