Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offers challenging assignments on some of the world’s largest and most complex projects.

KBR is looking to recruit a Lead Pipeline Engineer on a 12-month contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

  1. Competitive hourly pay rate
  2. Outside IR35, highly likely so engagement through a LLC is permitted
  3. Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

Role Overview
Lead installation elements of the Dalia lifetime extension FEED project. Specifically, disconnection of existing flexibles and umbilicals and installation with replacements or with rigid pipelines. Deliver installation outline procedures, installation analysis, and SIMOPS assessment for flexibles, rigids, and umbilicals. Must be experienced in OrcaFlex.

Responsibilities

  1. Meet with clients to define pipeline requirements.
  2. Conduct site surveys and research to determine pipeline specifications and placement as well as pump sizes.
  3. Prepare and present technical materials such as cost estimates, pipeline layouts, and flow simulations.
  4. Calculate project requirements such as materials, budget, and time.
  5. Create and develop digital designs such as pipeline maps, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams.
  6. Oversee the construction and installation process of pipeline infrastructure and systems.
  7. Manage the project workflow and budget.
  8. Perform quality control assessments and ensure that the pipelines comply with all technical and safety regulations.
  9. Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to pipelines, as needed.
  10. Keep up to date with the latest advancements in design software, technical standards, and construction techniques.
