Job Description

Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

KBR support the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

We are looking to recruit a Instrument Designer for a 3-month contract, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role
To prepare various Instrumentation engineering deliverables, such as block diagrams, instrument indexes, location layouts, hookups, installation drawings, cable schedules, cable routing layouts, material takeoffs, bills of material, and layouts for control and rack room.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in 3D drafting software packages, particularly S3D.
  • \\n

  • Experienced with the Smart Plant Instrument Database application.
  • \\n

  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as Electrical and Piping, to provide instrumentation inputs.
  • \\n

  • Support the Lead Engineer with both internal and external changes.
  • \\n

  • Adhere to company and project standards, procedures, and specifications.
  • \\n

  • 3D modeling experience and the ability to extract drawings from 3D models are advantageous.
  • \\n

  • Experience in developing Cable tray layouts and location layouts in MicroStation.
  • \\n

  • Preference will be given to candidates with, Pluto projects, Using SmartPlant Instrumentation & Detailed detailed design
