Junior AV Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior AV Engineer to join our technical team. You’ll support our senior technicians across a wide range of live events, from conferences and brand experiences to festivals and large-scale productions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll develop real expertise in AV systems while helping deliver high-quality technical solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup, configuration, and operation of AV equipment including projectors, screens, audio systems, and video playback systems at event venues.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues during live events and supporting the team to keep productions running smoothly.
  • Assisting with cable management, equipment testing, and pre-event technical checks.
  • Van driving to transport equipment to and from event sites.
  • Warehouse duties including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and preparation of gear for upcoming projects.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider TSAV team to deliver client expectations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum one year of hands-on experience in live events, AV production, or similar technical environments.
  • Familiarity with standard AV equipment and willingness to learn new systems quickly.
  • Valid driving licence and comfortable driving vans regularly.
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve on the fly.

Senior AV Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior AV Engineer to take a lead role on our technical delivery. You’ll own the technical setup and operation on live events, mentor junior crew, and act as a key point of contact on site. This role suits someone who can take responsibility for delivering complex productions to a high standard and keep calm when the pressure is on.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the setup, configuration, and operation of complex AV systems across conferences, festivals, and large-scale events.
  • Acting as lead technician on site, managing equipment, signal flow, and troubleshooting under live conditions.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and crew.
  • Liaising with project managers, clients, and venue staff to deliver against the brief.
  • Van driving and equipment transport as needed.
  • Warehouse duties including prep, maintenance, and quality control of gear for upcoming projects.
  • Contributing to technical planning and helping spec equipment for events.
What We’re Looking For
  • Several years of hands-on experience in live events or AV production, with a proven track record on medium to large-scale events.
  • Strong technical knowledge across video, audio, and playback systems, with the ability to lead on site.
  • Confidence troubleshooting under pressure and making quick decisions during live events.
  • Valid driving licence and comfortable driving vans regularly.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, able to direct and support a crew.
  • Commitment to health and safety and high standards of delivery.

Hours and Flexibility (Both Roles)

These roles require flexibility with working hours outside the standard nine to five. You’ll work variable shifts including weekends, evenings, early mornings, and long days depending on event schedules and client requirements. Events work doesn’t fit neatly into office hours, and we need people who are genuinely comfortable with that.
