Technical Resources are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Estimator and Supervisor to join a team in London. This role involves preparing accurate quotations and estimates for fire alarm and fire extinguisher projects, as well as managing and supervising engineers to ensure timely project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate quotations and estimates for fire alarm and fire extinguisher projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate engineers’ workloads to ensure efficient and timely project delivery.
  • Manage project spreadsheets and documentation, maintaining up-to-date records on costs, schedules, and progress.
  • Supervise and support a team of engineers, providing guidance and ensuring high standards of work.
  • Meet with clients to assess requirements, present solutions, and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, supporting tender submissions, and building client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety standards and regulations.
  • Resolve issues related to project execution, including scheduling conflicts and resource allocation.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Demonstrable experience with fire alarm and fire extinguisher systems (installation, maintenance, or project management).
  • Strong background in estimating, quoting, and cost analysis for fire safety projects.
  • Proven ability to schedule, manage, and supervise engineering teams.
  • Proficient in managing spreadsheets and project documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client meetings and internal coordination.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in business development or client-facing roles is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in fire safety, engineering, or a related discipline are desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the fire safety or building services sector.
