Technical Resources are working with a dynamic and forward‑thinking fire and security solutions provider to recruit a 3rd Line IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to take ownership of group‑wide infrastructure projects, support critical systems, and help shape the business's hybrid technology roadmap across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 3rd line technical support across a group of seven UK locations.
- Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects, including disaster recovery, Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, and network configuration.
- Administer and maintain the full Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Azure & Azure Arc/Replication).
- Manage backup and recovery solutions (e.g. Arctera Backup Exec, Veeam).
- Support, monitor, and enhance server environments (physical and virtual).
- Work collaboratively with third‑party vendors and internal teams.
- Mentor 1st and 2nd line support engineers, providing technical guidance.
- IT security compliance (MFA, access control, vulnerability remediation).
- Ensure infrastructure reliability through proactive maintenance and thorough documentation.

- Proven analytical and troubleshooting ability at the 3rd line level.

Essential Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in a senior IT support or infrastructure engineering role.

- Windows Server OS
- Microsoft 365 administration – SharePoint, Azure, Exchange Online, Azure Arc
- Active Directory & Azure Entra ID
- Networking – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC VPN, VLANs, BGP
- Cisco Meraki & Catalyst – switching, firewalls, wireless
- Hyper‑V virtualisation and replication
