My client has a strong global presence and they dominate their sector as the market leader in the UK. Through continued growth they require a machinist to come in and further smooth running of the engineering shop. The engineering shop provides services and support to manufacturing operations so this position is pivotal for uninterrupted operations.
Your Duties:
- Machining one off and small batch plant equipment/components from engineering drawings
- Manual operation of lathes, grinding, milling machines and general workshop machinery
- Setting and operating CNC lathes and milling machines
- Monday to Friday rotating days nights and back shifts
Your Experience:
- Experience with manual operation of lathes, grinding, milling machines and general workshop machinery
- Experienced in setting and operating CNC lathes and milling machines
- Have an understanding of ISO G Code, Siemens 828D ShopMill and Fanuc i-Guide
- Be able to interpret technical drawings and standards
