We are currently working with a leading and ever-growing Fabrication Manufacturer who are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder, who has experience in working primarily with sheet metal materials ranging in thickness from 0.7mm to 3mm, and occasional fabrication using mild steel up to 6mm. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of precision and the ability to work within tight tolerances, delivering high-quality welds that meet exacting standards.

Welder Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform TIG and/or MIG welding on thin sheet metal (0.7mm-3mm) and mild steel components (up to 6mm).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.
  • Ensure welds meet quality and dimensional standards, often within tight tolerances.
  • Inspect finished workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Perform minor fabrication tasks including bending, cutting, and shaping of sheet metal.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment in accordance with company health & safety policies.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production deadlines.
Welder Candidate:
  • Proven experience welding sheet metal and mild steel components.
  • Proficiency in TIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to work with tolerances as tight as 0.7mm.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Familiarity with workshop tools and safe handling of materials.

The Welder position is offering Circa. £15.00 an hour plus overtime and benefits. This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our client’s site in the Pudsey area.
