Our client is an established and well-respected manufacturing company. Currently recruiting a Graduate Application Engineer to help facilitate new and tailor existing solutions to their clients’ needs and objectives. This is a full-time, permanent position, based on site at their North Yorkshire office.
Key Responsibilities- Application Engineers play a critical role in providing support to our client’s customers.
- Throughout a customer’s journey, the Application Engineer will coordinate with internal and external colleagues and departments to tailor existing products into solutions that meet agreed objectives and expectations.
- Interfacing with our client’s UK & International sales team.
- Support sales in accurately and effectively capturing the customer’s requirements from a technical perspective which will help create a technical concept.
- Translate a customer’s technical concept into a tangible solution, supporting the implementation process, liaising with cross-functional teams to allow the manufacturing or procurement teams to fulfil the necessary activities.
- Provide technical customer support to internal and external functions, such as customer’s production lines, quality assurance, etc.
- Occasionally travel to client sites to answer technical queries or review product implementation.
- Ensure our client’s solutions are of high quality, meet all safety standards, can be delivered to agreed timeframes, and are within customers' agreed budget.
- STEM related Degree is preferred.
- Understanding of Automotive, mechanical, and electrical engineering domains.
- CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks skills designing mechanical or electrical solutions.
- Effective communicator who is comfortable liaising with customers to better understand their 'pain points' and identify best fit solutions.
- Strong Microsoft skills, able to create detailed and presentable customer-facing technical documentation.
- Able to understand commercial and engineering drivers and constraints.
- Training and development available, providing you with the skills and ability to progress further into an Application Engineer position.
This position is offering £26,000 - £32,000 basic salary plus great benefits. This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm based at our client’s North Yorkshire office.
