Our client is a growing agricultural and fuel supply business based in North Yorkshire. Operating across North and East Yorkshire, the business supports a large rural customer base and delivers a wide range of fuel and agricultural services. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Heating Engineer to join their established engineering team. Based on our client's site near York, the Heating Engineer will work both independently and alongside experienced engineers to deliver servicing, maintenance, and installation of Oil & LPG heating systems. Given the rural nature of their customer base, most properties are off mains gas, so experience ideally in both oil and LPG systems is required. The Heating Engineer will also support the installation of fuel tanks and associated equipment, contributing to a large-scale fuel operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and install boilers and heating appliances
- Assist with oil tank and LPG system installations
- Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Support warranty claims and installation problem resolution
- Monitor recurring faults and contribute to continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service during all site visits
- Ensure company vehicles are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Participate in an on-call rota (once fully trained)
- Adhere strictly to health & safety and safe working practices
- Attend training and development sessions as required
- Support wider operational tasks as directed by management
Skills & Experience
- Experienced Heating Engineer with Oil and/or LPG systems skills and experience
- OFT101, CCN1 and CENWAT qualifications highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to work in rural environments and participate in on-call rota
